As a Social Media Guru, I know what it takes to get less followers. Even though I don’t have a job, I will provide some free consulting for you. Here are my Social Media tips on gaining less followers:

Auto DM
The best method to gain less followers is to auto-DM your new followers. You want to introduce yourself and thank them in an automated way. Even though I might not follow them back, I like to say “I look forward to your tweets.” It makes them feel like you actually give a shit about what they are tweeting.

Self Promotion
They’re following you right? So all they want to hear about is yourself. There’s no better way to decrease your following by tweeting only about yourself. It also helps to never read their tweets. Follow them back so they think you might care!

Retweet every time your mentioned for Follow Friday
Because your fans need to know someone mentioned you for Follow Friday!

I hope these tips help you gain less followers. Remember…SEO SEO SEO!

Today at Facebook, we announced that you can now “like” Facebook users’ comments. If there’s anything I know as the CEO of Facebook, it’s what people like. Let’s just face it—people like shit.

After extensive research (and consulting marketing companies that we sell data to based on shit you like) we have determined that it’s important that people know you “like” something someone commented on. It’s also really important for people to be able to “like” something when they don’t have anything to comment beside saying “HAHA!” or “awesome!” The “like” button makes it so you don’t have to think.

In the future we’re going to make it so you the user will be able to “like” something a friend of yours “likes” on a Facebook page they “like.”

I hope you like it.
